| SALOU, THE TOP TOURIST DESTINATION FOR FAMILIES IN CATALONIA |
| Salou has become the most popular tourist destination for family holidays in Catalonia. And as a result, it has begun to cater
specifically to family needs. This is part of a joint project with Turismo de Catalunya, through a pilot scheme which has helped Salou evolve into
a top family holiday destination. As a result of this project, accommodation in Salou has been built and redeveloped as specialized family-oriented
establishments, with activities for children and special facilities on offer, and the restaurant industry has had to identify restaurants with children’s menus,
provide high chairs, etc. amongst other changes.

| As well as all this, there were already many aspects to Salou which made it an excellent destination for family holidays: its leisure and
entertainment facilities, for example Universal Mediterranea Theme Park, safe beaches for children (with shallow waters), beaches with excellent facilities
(nurseries, sports areas, children’s games areas), etc.

| The Patronato de Turismo de Salou (The Tourist Board of Salou), financed by the Plan de Excelencia Turística (The Touristic Excellence Programme),
has implemented a series of special initiatives to strengthen this trademark created by Turismo de Catalunya, such as a guide to staying safe, information stands,
children’s bibs, identification bracelets, children’s guide, etc.
